Out of the box, CS-Cart offers only eight tracking methods: USPS, UPS, FedEx, Australia Post, Canada Post, DHL, SwissPost and Temando. That's often not enough. In case you want to add custom tracking methods to CS-Cart, because you're shipping using a custom carrier and want your customers to be able to track their orders shipped using these custom carriers, this is the extension you're looking for.

 
 

Why Custom Shipment Carriers?

This extension gives you the ability to set how many new tracking carriers in CS-Cart do you need. You just need to add carrier/tracking name and the tracking URL and your customers are ready to benefit of this great functionality.

Add new carrier

The tracking number gets replaced in the tracking URL automatically, just use the [TRACKING_NUMBER] variable and the actual tracking number will show up in the tracking URL.

Is very simple to test if tracking URL is added right.
1. Click on the small arow-down from the left of the carrier name and the "Shipping tracking URL test" block will expand.
2. Add a valid tracking number for the current carrier
3. Click on the URL utomaticly generated bellow.

What is a Tracking Number?

Tracking numbers are used by Shipping Carriers given to packages when they are shipped. Tracking numbers are useful for knowing the location of time sensitive deliveries.

How to Configure

This article describes how to configure the Custom Shipment Carriers cs-cart add-on.

How to add a new Carrier:

1. Please go to backend menu: Administration > Shippings & taxes > Shipping Carriers

2. Click on "Add carier"

3. Add carier name and tracking URL* and click "Save"
* Please replace tracking number from URL with [TRACKING_NUMBER]

4. All done, the new carriers added will be found in select box above of default CS-Cart carriers: USPS, UPS, FedEx, Australia Post, Canada Post, DHL, SwissPost and Temando.

How to add import new Carrier from XML file:

1. Please go to backend menu: Administration > Shippings & taxes > Shipping Carriers

2. Click on "Import carriers"

3. Click on "Local" and select from your PC the XML file (in our example is colissimo.xml) and after that just click "Upload & install"

4. All done, the new carriers added will be found in select box above of default CS-Cart carriers: USPS, UPS, FedEx, Australia Post, Canada Post, DHL, SwissPost and Temando.
